Norwood Community Creche is strongly influenced by the Reggio Emilia Philosophy with a focus on nature, engagement with the community and child initiated activities. We strive to provide a warm and holistic atmosphere, where each and every child is celebrated and valued. Our commitment to our families is reflected in all that we do, we provide the children in our care with a happy and safe environment  that recognises their individual needs, skills, talents and interests. Educators will use The Early Years Learning Framework in partnership with families to develop learning programs. Our learning program has a nurturing and child-focused approach, which centres around the notion that the relationships that educators form with children and their families has a significant effect on children’s engagement in their individual learning. We strongly believe in a play-based curriculum, where children’s learning is dynamic and holistic, and that hands on experiences largely benefits children’s developmental stages and learning. It is understood that how wellbeing and a strong sense of connection and belonging are essential for children to flourish. We value the environment, and aim to instil a sense of appreciation and care for nature in everything that we do.
