Conditions of approval
This service is approved to provide education and care to children from birth to over preschool age, not including school children. It is a condition of this service approval that an adequate amount of healthy live plants in a variety of species and sizes is maintained at all times, in the enclosed outdoor area of the premise, ensuring children are afforded opportunities to explore and experience the features of a natural environment as required under Regulation 113 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations. It is a condition of this service approval that an additional educator is engaged in the 0 2 area (above minimum ratio requirements), in order to maintain adequate supervisionat all times children are being educated and cared for in this area. The Approved Provider must engage an appropriate expert, such as a person/entity holding a Queensland Building and Construction Commission Licence in Emergency Procedures, fire safety advisor or fire safety engineer to:a. observe and report on one full evacuation rehearsal i.Within one (1) month of the issue of the amended service approval, specifically noting whether the one additional educator above the minimum ratio requirements required to be engaged in the 0-2 year olds area, is sufficient to ensure the safe evacuation of all staff and children; and if not, the number of additional staff required for this purpose; and ii.Then at least annually thereafter. A copy of the initial and annual evacuation outcome reports, including any recommendations for actioning is to be supplied to the Regional Office of the Regulatory Authority in which the service is located within 7 days of receipt of the report by the Approved Provider from the licensed organisation.
