About Kids@play - Croydon Park
At Kids @ Play Early Learning Centre we provide the highest level of care and education for your child in an equitable, nurturing, safe and secure environment and we value children as individuals, within the context of their family and their community. We provide an emergent curriculum that fosters the learning outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework and that supports and respects the role of the parents.
Our curriculum is guided by what children know, can do and understand and by the knowledge that children are successful competent and capable learners, which are supported by caring and responsive educators. We believe that our curriculum is based upon children’s own ideas and interests, family input supported by intentional teaching. We are committed to providing a rich, stimulating and nurturing environment, in order to consolidate the skills of children, in key learning areas. We allow children to develop their skills through their play with our support.
We believe in the promotion of each child’s confidence and positive self-image through a range of provisions, experiences and opportunities that build upon their understandings, skills, values and sensitivities and promote success. We implement an inclusive approach to positively support children’s growth of identity, self-esteem and critical thinking and that each child can be encouraged to reach their full potential in accordance with their individual ability.
We believe that trust, respect and collaboration form the basis for a strong partnership between families and educators and that the family’s involvement is integral to the provision of a high quality program. We value partnerships with families and encourage them to engage in meaningful participation within the program. We strive to provide diversity within our service. Families, educators and the wider community should be respected and celebrated and we recognise that we can play a role in fostering and developing a social conscience among children.
