Conditions of approval
The approved provider must not undertake any activity during the hours of operation of the education and care service that results in the disturbance of the control measures and exposure to the underlying soil. No changes to the landscaping may be undertaken without prior approval from the Regulatory Authority. A copy of the SMP 60868 must be displayed prominently with the service approval at the front entrance to the education and care services premises. The approved provider must comply with the recommendations of section 5.2 of the Soil Management Plan number 60868 prior to children accessing the outdoor space. The approved provider must:Develop an induction policy for all staff senior management and volunteers at the service. This induction policy must include induction in the services policies and procedures and specifically in relation to excursions. The policy must be submitted to the Department by 30 November 2015 for approval.Provide professional development to all educators to ensure that they gain knowledge to build their skills in developing effective programs that meet the needs of all children -oThe professional development must be delivered by a recognised early childhood organisation or expert approved in writing by the Department prior to their engagementoThe professional development must be delivered by 31 December 2015.oThe Department must be provided with proof of the completion of the professional development within 7 days of completion.Submit risk assessments for any excursions conducted by the service from 1 August 2015 must submitted to the Department at least 15 working days prior to the excursion being undertaken.
