  • We offer an exceptional Government approved Kindergarten program with experienced Bachelor qualified teachers and certified Group Leaders preparing children for school years and beyond.

  • The Association is managed by a Board of Directors, elected by fellow parents, to manage the Centre in conjunction with the General Manager, Educational Leader and Operations Manager. Their aim is to provide a warm and friendly, family oriented environment.

  • The curriculum at Blackwood Street Child Centre ensures children from birth to school age are involved in an educational program that is not only stimulating and engaging but also enhances childrens learning and development.

  • We believe all children are individuals, who develop at their own pace and are treated with value and respect.

  • Play is valued as the fundamental medium of young childrens learning and believe that it is central to an effective Early Childhood Curriculum

  • Providing each child with a caring, enjoyable and secure environment that utilises developmentally appropriate and responsive play experiences to assist each childs growth and learning.

  • Children with additional needs will be provided opportunities to be integrated into the program, taking into account the childs and families individual needs whilst promoting the centres overall wellbeing.

  • We strive to maintain a responsible balance and all staff are made aware of issues and areas requiring vigilant attention.
