At ICU Early Learning Childcare Centre, our team are passionate about the education, health and wellbeing of every child. We strive to ensure children are reaching their full potential and capabilities by strengthening their holistic skills and development. ICU early learning childcare centre is an environment that is welcoming, safe and warm. Our team aims to meet each child’s individual needs, as our centre is a reflection of our families and community. This service ensures that it meets the requirements of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards, National Quality Framework and the National Regulations.

At ICU Early Learning Childcare, we recognise children as individuals and therefore, adapt and individualise programs according to the children’s age and stage of development. By meeting the 5 learning outcomes, the children embark on a journey that allows them to learn about their strengths and receive the best quality care for a healthy and successful growth and development.

At ICU Early Learning Childcare Centre, families are respected and valued. Families are seen as partners and advocates for their children. Our educators support parents’ input and welcome their involvement in creating a better vision for the children. We value Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and acknowledge the traditional owners of the land we live on. In our service, we do this by helping children understand the history, culture and lives of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

Our programs are implemented and completed daily. The children’s learning and progress is available to families. Our children are encouraged to participate in the program where their ideas, interests, abilities and learning are documented. We support and promote children’s decisions as we believe children have a right to make choices. This allows them to contribute in their learning.

Educators 
Our educators respect and honour all differences by celebrating every person’s individuality. The choices we make as a team come from our philosophy which positively impacts our children, families, curriculum and community. We inspire each other and encourage each other with open communication. We acquire new skills through workshops and in-services. Our professional self-reflections and experiences benefit the children within our centre. We ensure that there is a consistent cycle of review of current practices to ensure children are receiving the best learning and care.
