Conditions of approval
The maximum number of family day care educators that may be employed or engaged by the approved provider is 15. The approved provider must employ at least 1 full time family day care co-ordinator as prescribed in section 5 of the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 for every 15 family day care residences or venues providing education and care for children. The approved provider must identify family day care educators operating in a family day care residence or approved family day care venue in Victoria at particular risk of bushfire and ensure that these family day care educators do not operate on a declared Code Red day in their Bureau of Meteorology district. Where a family day care residence or approved family day care venue is identified as being at particular risk of bushfire, policies and procedures relating to emergency and evacuation must incorporate policies and procedures for monitoring bushfire risks and informing families of service closures resulting from bushfire risks. The approved provider must notify the Department at least 14 days before they commence to operate in another state or territory. The Approved Provider must undertake professional development provided by Gowrie Victoria "Coaching: The Next Step for Educational Leaders and Managers" by 30 June 2016 and provide evidence of completion to the Department by 15 July 2016. The Approved Provider must notify the Regulatory Authority within 5 days of the commencement of the operation of the family day care service. The Approved Provider, within 5 days of the commencement of the operation of the family day care service, must submit to the Regulatory Authority: -a copy of the register of family day care educators that complies with section 269 of the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and regulation 153 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011. -a copy of the staff record that complies with regulation 154 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011 for each of the persons appointed as a family day care co-ordinator to monitor and support family day care educators.
